Central Point police arrested Rice Tuesday on charges of failure to register as a sex offender and parole violation. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail, where he remained Tuesday night without bail. Sex offense — Samuel Joseph Harper, 22, of the 400 block of South B Street, Phoenix. Ashland police arrested Harper on a Washington warrant charging him with failure to register as a sex offender. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail, where he remained Tuesday night without bail. Drugs — Wanda Lee Atkins, 31, of the 700 block of East Highland Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Atkins on a charge of possession of amphetamines. She was lodged in jail, where she remained Tuesday night on $5,000 bail. Mistreatment — Martin Cervantes-Chavez, 29, of the 400 block of West Clark Street, Medford. Cervantes-Chavez appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment. He was booked into jail and released. Crime reports Burglary — 7000 block of Rogue River Highway, Rogue River. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy took a report Monday night of a burglary in which a video game play station and about 50 games were reported stolen. The total estimated value was $1,500.
