October 10. 2014 11:12AM Ashland's annual Green and Solar Tour is Saturday A tour of several energy-efficient homes in Ashland will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11. The annual Green & Solar Tour will meet at the Ashland Civic Center, 1175 E. Main St. Attendees will visit houses and check out energy-efficient amenities such as double and straw-bale walls, ductless heat pumps, solar systems, tankless water heaters and energy-efficient appliances, and learn how they are healthier and better for the environment.  All participants will travel by bus to the tour sites and should bring their own lunch. The cost is $10 to attend.
