Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted May. 8, 2015 at 12:01 AM Posted May. 8, 2015 at 12:01 AM »  Social News I was up at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. (Coffee on-site still tastes good to a retired RN!) While there I asked someone what happened to the former display (inside the lobby that borders Barnett Road) of photos and history of Camp White, nursing in the valley, etc. That person had no idea where those treasures had been put. She thought maybe in storage? — Birgitta, Medford All the nursing photos previously displayed in the hospital's south lobby were put into storage during renovation, said Asante Senior Public Relations Specialist Lauren Van Sickle. The south lobby was converted into space for the new cardiac rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary diagnostics departments, she said. Asante plans to reopen the nursing gallery in the lower level of the Dubs building where the outpatient cardiopulmonary department waiting area used to be, she said. "It will become a nice lounge area for all to sit and relax," Van Sickle said. The walls will be decorated with items showing the hospital's history, as well as pictures of DAISY Award winners and nursing and hospital committees in which staff nurses participate, she said. The DAISY Award in an international program that honors the clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses. Four Asante nurses per year are recognized with the award, according to Asante.
