Finalists to replace Rick Levine, who will retire in June, are: Peter Angstadt, president of Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely, Colo.; Michael Holland, vice president of administrative and student affairs at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany; and Blaine Nisson, vice president of student development at Clark Community College in Vancouver, Wash. Candidates will meet with faculty, staff, students and community members during open forums scheduled for March 30 through April 2 in Medford and Grants Pass. The three were chosen from among 24 applications by a screening committee of instructors, administrators, students, board members and community representatives. The new president, who will be the fifth in RCC’s 33-year history, will start July 1. Angstadt will meet with the community from 2 to 3 p.m. March 30 on the Redwood Campus in Grants Pass and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. March 31 on the Riverside Campus in Medford (Room 10, Building F, 101 S. Front St.). Advertisement Former dean of college services at Clackamas Community College, Angstadt holds master’s degrees from Colorado State University and Idaho State University and a doctorate in educational policy and management from the University of Oregon. Nisson will meet with the community at 2 p.m. March 31 in Grants Pass and at 12:30 p.m. April 1 in Medford. Nisson was dean of student development at Portland Community College, dean of students at Centralia College in Washington and acting president at Clark Community College. He holds a master’s degree from Idaho State and an educational doctorate in community college leadership from Oregon State University. Holland’s community forums will be at 2 p.m. April 1 in Grants Pass and 12:30 p.m. April 2 in Medford. He is former commissioner of Oregon Community Colleges and director of admissions and records at RCC. He holds a master’s degree from Western Oregon University and a doctorate of jurisprudence from Willamette University and is a member of the Oregon State Bar.
