Low-cost pet vaccinations, nail trims offered Friday Apr 7, 2017 at 12:01 AM The Jackson County Animal Shelter will offer low-cost pet vaccinations and nail trims from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Dr. Sharon Hopkins, DVM, will give vaccinations to cats and dogs for $10 each, cash only. Vaccinations available for dogs are rabies and distemper/parvo booster; for cats they are rabies and distemper/rhino/calici booster. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old; those who are ill, on antibiotics, in heat, or on cortisone products cannot be vaccinated. Nail trimming will be offered for $5 per pet, cash only. Pet owners also will be able to purchase dog licenses by cash, credit card, or check, but must bring rabies certification. For more information, call the shelter at 541-774-6654.
