A cup of coffee costs a nickel more today at Starbucks Corp., the largest retailer of roasted and specialty coffees in the United States, with three retail outlets in Medford and Ashland. Espresso is up a dime. (More...) Peterson gets top award from SOU By ALBERTO ENRIQUEZ ASHLAND ­ Former state Rep. Nancy Peterson will receive Southern Oregon University's highest honor, the President's medal, in two weeks during graduation ceremonies. "I'm pleased, surprised and delighted," Peterson said Thursday at her Ashland home. "I feel like they must be thinking about the work I did when I was in the Legislature four years ago." A vocal champion of education during her four-term political career, Peterson nevertheless had to search her memory to consider what led to the award. (More...)
