October 21. 2014 4:10PM Recycle plastic at The Expo Friday and Saturday A two-day event is set for The Expo this week to collect unwanted plastic. The Fall 2014 Plastic Round-up will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24-25, at the gravel lot just past the Family Fun Center on Peninger Road in Central Point. Nursery pots, baling twine, feed sacks, irrigation components, lawn chairs and shopping bags are among the numerous plastic items that will be accepted for recycling. A complete list is available online at www.jcrecycle.org. Event organizers ask that participants pre-sort plastic into soft, hard and nursery groups.
