So far there has been great interest f=om the University of Miami, they suggested that such center could be an extension of their theoretical physics group. =here has been interest also from physicists from Havana and from Puerto Rico. There have been positive comments al=o from Fernando Quevedo, the head of the ICTP, the International Center=for Theoretical Physics, an Ita=y and UN funded organization, based in Trieste Italy who suggested there could be a possibility the KIP could have some involvement (may be to fund parti=ipation from cuban physicists?). Also Richard Keywor=h, a developer in Long Island h=s mentioned that he was willing to sell the land needed for the center at a discount and=also help, using his connections, to get some (but probably no= enough) funding from the Bahamian goverment. We would like to know to what extent you would like to participate in =his development, of course we can take your suggestions concerning the favorite topics you would like to emphasize= for example gravity?, I understand this is one of your favorite topics, since you once organized a conference on =his topic. I am planning to travel to both Miami and Long Island in March, I coul= also visit you for example in the Virgin Islands, but other places could be as well, to discuss the extent of your=participation, your input on what subjects you would like to be emphasized, what are your suggestions f=r the name of the <=pan style="font-size:10O 1>center, etc., anything you want, =/div> All the best, Eduardo Guendelman, Physics, Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva, Isra=l. conversation -id 17901 date-last-viewed 0 date-received flags gmail-label-ids 6 2 remote-id 787735 10 EFTA_R1_01684264 EFTA02537525
