its power three er tour eitisema of that eountry& whiah they are threatm•
eniag to hang. It is the allie nob that four years ago killed about
10 Lon in Brown end Xeyapaha counties without trial en pretense that
thoy were thieves. That was doue'uoder the leaderehip of a J. Burnham
and L. Taylor. ,:be latter is tho present le .der. Yeeterday a writ
of habeas corpus was issued for the production of the body of C• •Clay&
atom they have in their poor, but the Shoriff of Rook County was murned
not to attempt to serve it. All you order out the militia or instruct
tho sheriff of Rook county to oral to his and a suffioient fore. to
enable hie to serve the writ& or both,
