CSPs are vital contributors to the AI ecosystem,
providing connectivity, customer relationship
management (CRM) tools, hardware and local data
centres. However, AI transformation often requires
assets and capabilities beyond their core remit and
CSPs are faced with the decision of whether to
build, buy or partner to acquire them.Ecosystem partnerships will play an important role,
with 76% of telecom leaders re-evaluating their
ecosystem to increase genAI47 innovation.
In shaping AI transformation strategies, CSPs
should explore partnerships across intra-industry,
infrastructure, application provision, transformation
and public or research organizations. Notably, some
partners will span multiple categories to form part of
an open ecosystem. The telecom industry must expand beyond its
traditional and OEM ecosystem and invest in
cross-industry and public-private collaborations.
