--> --> Spaying and neutering is the only answer In response to Keenan Cheney's letter of April 18, I agree that since humans have upset the natural balance of nature and made dogs and cats dependent on us, we owe it to them to insure that humans are not the cause of their death. The answer to the euthanasia problem is to spay or neuter all our dogs and cats until the animal shelter kennels and cat rooms are empty! Unfortunately, without a mandatory birth control law, I don't think it will happen. I'm afraid most people don't want to know about the deadly end awaiting our homeless dogs and cats. Anything we can do to raise peoples consciousness to make them aware of the animal's plight though is helpful. Wil Thomson Ashland Email your...
