Peterson The Associated Press Posted Feb. 28, 2015 at 12:01 AM » Social News PORTLAND — LaMarcus Aldridge had 29 points and 16 rebounds, and the Portland Trail Blazers rallied to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 115-112 Friday night, spoiling Russell Westbrook's third straight triple-double. Westbrook, who fell and hit his face on teammate Andre Roberson's knee in the final seconds, had 40 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. He became the first player to string together three triple-doubles since LeBron James in 2009. The Blazers overcame a 15-point, third-quarter deficit and tied it on a tip shot by Aldridge with 4:33 to go. Rookie Mitch McGary came off the bench for a season-high 20 points — 12 in the third quarter — for the Thunder. Portland took the lead with 3:56 left on Arron Afflalo's 3-pointer. Aldridge and Westbrook traded baskets down the stretch before Aldridge made a free throw to put Portland up 111-110 with 44 seconds to go. Afflalo's free throws made it 113-110 and Wesley Matthews' attempt to intentionally foul Westbrook was ruled a shooting foul on a 3-pointer. Westbrook missed the first and Damian Lillard made free throws with 1.4 seconds left for the final margin. Westbrook was hit in the face in the scramble following his free throws. There was no immediate word on his condition. The Thunder were coming off a 117-113 overtime loss the night before in Phoenix, snapping their seven-game winning streak. Westbrook had 39 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists, and rolled his ankle late in the game. The Thunder were playing without center Enes Kanter because of a right thigh contusion. Kanter, who is averaging 14 points and 7.9 rebounds this season, was acquired along with Steve Novak from the Utah Jazz in a trade at the deadline last week. Thunder coach Scott Brooks said it was not certain how long Kanter will be out. Brooks believed the injury occurred in the second half of the loss to the Suns. Nick Collison replaced Kanter in the starting lineup. The Thunder have been stung this season by injuries. Kevin Durant missed his fifth straight game Friday night because of ongoing issues with his right foot, and center Steven Adams' right hand fracture has kept him out of eight games. Kyle Singler gave the Thunder their first lead of the game with a 3-pointer to make it 34-32 in the second quarter. Oklahoma City extended the lead to 47-37 on rookie McGary's jumper with just under five minutes in the half. Trailing the Thunder 59-47 at the break, the Blazers opened the second half with a 7-0 run to close within 59-54.
