At 11:34 p.m.Wednesday, an Ashland police officer pulled a vehicle over for a traffic violation on E. Main Street at Water Street. The driver, Steven Ritchey, 25, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, cited, and released into the custody of his mother. At 1:16 a.m. Thursday, police officials received a report that Ritchey had threatened someone with a tire iron at East Main and Water streets. He was arrested for disorderly conduct and being a menace and transported to the Jackson County Jail In Medford. 12:22 a.m. Thursday - Report of two men causing public alarm by engaging in a fight and displaying threatening behavior on North Main Street at Schofield Street. An Ashland man, 21, was cited for disorderly conduct. An Ashland man, 20, was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol by consumption and disorderly conduct. 11:30 p.m. Wednesday - An Ashland man, 19, was cited for driving while suspended on Ashland Street at Walker Avenue. 3:45 p.m. Wednesda y - Report of an Ashland woman that was injured when she fell out of a pickup that was turning out of the post office parking lot onto East Wagner Street in Talent. Talent police said an ambulance crew took her to a local hospital for treatment. 9 a.m. Wednesday - Report of a vehicle stolen from the 600 block of South Pacific Highway. The vehicle was recovered by Talent Police a short time later. A male juvenile was arrested for theft. Two other juveniles, a male and a female, were cited for being passengers in a stolen vehicle. Wednesday - Report of the theft of equipment from the Southern Oregon University Library. A multimedia projector valued at $4,800, an amplifier and extension cords were taken.
