Detwiler Harry D. Detwiler passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 in his home. He was born in Glassport, Pennsylvania June 13, 1931. He served in both Korea and Japan during the Korean war. Harry was a kind and giving person who saw beyond his own needs. He taught Special Education at Ashland High School from 1965-1993. His passion was to help people see their potential. He spent his life impacting those who needed help. His latest passion was making a place for vets and those recovering. He worked to help those who gave to their country by giving them assistance and helping them progress in every way that he could! "A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops."—Henry Adams He is survived by his daughter, Lorrie Anderson of Ranchester, Wyoming; son, David Detwiler of San Diego, Calif.; and three granddaughters, Heather Evans, Brittany Anderson, and Cristina Detwiler. He loved his family so much. Please join family and friends in celebrating his life with a potluck at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Emigrant Lake.
