Oregon Sells $14 Million Worth of Timber in August, Supporting Hundreds of Western Oregon Jobs News By Diane Megaw On Sep 5, 2025 Courtesy: Bureau of Land Management Ore. & Wash. Oregon’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) released details of August timber sales yesterday, revealing that 55.1 million board feet of timber across 2,281 public acres were sold for $14,343,372 over nine Western Oregon timber sales. Western Oregon Timber Sales: August Western Oregon August timber sales from the 2.4 million acres of some of the most productive forests in the world under BLM management that will feed local mills and support about 770 jobs in the local communities. Barry Bushue, BLM OR/WA state director, confirmed that timber, lumber, and other wood products from public lands are critical to America’s well-being, including local job creation, forest management, and wildfire risk reduction projects that can save American lives and communities.
