He was taken to the Jackson County Jail in Medford. 7:14 p.m. Tuesday - Report of an injury motor vehicle crash between a car and a bicycle on Walker Avenue at Ashland Street. The bicycle rider was taken to Ashland Community Hospital with minor injuries. 4:10 p.m. Tuesday - Male transient, 29, arrested for shoplifting at the Market of Choice on Siskiyou Boulevard. 3:57 p.m. Tuesday - Medford man, 36, arrested on two outstanding Ashland Municipal Court warrants on the 1100 block of East Main Street. 10:16 a.m. Tuesday - A vehicle stopped for a red light on Lithia Way at Helman Street was rear ended by another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was cited for careless driving. Jackson Co. Fire Dist. No. 5 9:04 a.m. Tuesday - Report of a small fire at a home on Old Highway 99 South. The blaze was started by a malfunction in wiring in a wall heater. Damage to the home and property estimated at $50,000. No injuries were reported.
