Attendees will participate in a live photo shoot by Mark Arinsberg, dance to slammin' beats by Ashland's own DJ Ion, and watch life-size video and stills of past Burning Man events, a photographic art exhibit will take center stage. We are presenting 8 to 10, 24" x 36" photographic images of average, local men in the throws of what used to be the perception of "women's work" (domestic chores, raising children, etc.). This exhibit is a testament to the invaluable role that modern women play on our planet. With breast cancer cases on the rise, the party will be an important beginning of a necessary awareness campaign. Try to imagine a spouse, mother, sister, aunt or friend forced to face the traumatic effects of this cancer and how it affects the overall world population. Through this vehicle, the Mobius and other participating businesses and organizations hope to plant the seeds of education and compassion needed to effectively bring attention to this planet changing illness. In addition to the above mentioned entertainment, there will be food, beer and wine, a fashion/talent show and fun prizes. The theme for this party is "Burning Man" past and present. Attendees will be encouraged to wear their most spectacular "playa" gear and prepare to have an amazing time.
