Van Driver’s Fatal Lane Switch Sends Woodburn Mother and Son Crashing into Ditch Near Canby Crime & Courts By Lucille McNamara On Mar 31, 2025 CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Van driver Tyler Ryan Sahnow of Beaverton died in an accident when his van collided head-on with a Suburban in Clackamas County late last Friday afternoon. A Woodburn woman and her six-year-old son survived after her SUV ended on its side in a ditch. According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at 5 p.m. on South Kropf Road, 10 miles south of Canby. Preliminary investigations indicate that the van veered out of its lane and hit the oncoming Suburban head-on.
