Art Talk: Melissa Geppert, Assistant Professor of Art history at Southern Oregon University, leads a talk about "The Origins of the Biennial Exhibition" at 5:30 p.m. at the Schneider Museum of Art at the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd. Geppert discusses the origins and the rise of biennial exhibition in contemporary art, including its significance to artists, curators and audiences. Play Premiere: The Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University presents the first performance in its production of the Adam Bock play  "The Drunken City" at 8 p.m. at the Center Square Theatre on the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd. The play tells the story of three 20-something brides-to-be who find their lives upended when one of them encounters a handsome stranger and begins second-guessing her marriage plans. Memberships will be available at the door. The sale will feature a large selection of like-new books in all genres plus CDs and DVDs. The silent auction features themed gift baskets with items and certificates donated by local businesses. The gift baskets will be on display for bidding in the library during the week prior to the sale. The auction ends at 2 p.m. Sunday.
