ASHLAND POLICE & FIRE 1:01 a.m. Tuesday - Ashland man, 19, cited for DUII controlled substance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, Oak Street and Lithia Way, after police made a traffic stop and smelled burning marijuana, lodged in Jackson County Jail. One passenger cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, second passenger cited for minor in possession of a controlled substance. 10:32 a.m. Tuesday - Unknown person took 2.5-foot statue of Col. Sanders valued at $6,800 from Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, 500 block Clover Lane. Tuesday - Ashland man, 31, cited for DUII controlled substance, concealed weapon, Lee and Wightman streets. OREGON STATE POLICE 4:30 a.m. Wednesday - Vehicle accident, Interstate 5 milepost 14, vehicle swerved to miss a car that had stopped for a dog in the road, drove onto shoulder and jack-knifed, no injuries, minor damage.
