Mestrovich, a frequent contributor to the Inner Peace column in the Tidings and author of the "Awesome Aging" blog on the Tidings' website at dailytidings.com , as well as frequent, colorfully dressed participant in Ashland events, including the Fourth of July parade, taped the episode last year after her son, a Los Angeles resident, got tickets for them. The fairy costume she wears on the show is the same she wore for the Halloween parade in Ashland. She plans to spend Friday with her son watching the show and celebrating her 67th birthday, according to her Facebook page. She's also author of the book, "Grandma Boom Chronicles — Feeling Alive at 65." Mestrovich is no stranger to television, having previously appeared on the Bravo reality series "Friends to Lovers." "Deal" airs at 2 p.m. on KTVL, a CBS affiliate.
