Ane Brun is one of Scandinavia’s
most beloved and versatile artists,
with a career spanning over 20
years and 20 albums. Born in
Norway, she began her musical
journey busking in Barcelona
before co-founding a label and
releasing her debut album in 2003.
Independent from the start, Brun has built a career defined
by her fearlessness and creative evolution, moving from
acoustic folk to dynamic, genre-blending sounds.
Her 2011 album, It All Starts with One, marked a shift to
rhythm-driven music, while When I’m Free (2015) and
After the Great Storm (2020) incorporated electronic and
orchestral influences. Albums such as How Beauty Holds
the Hand of Sorrow (2020) and her covers collection Leave
Me Breathless (2017) showcase her unfiltered authenticity,
with her haunting voice at the heart of every song.
Brun’s collaborations are diverse, from ABBA’s Benny
Andersson and Peter Gabriel to dance music stars
such as Oliver Heldens and Andrew Bayer. She has
also worked with orchestras and contemporary dance
companies, including a 2023 sold-out production with
the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.
With two Swedish Grammys, a growing global fanbase
and a new album on the horizon for 2025, Brun’s ambitious
spirit shows no signs of abating. Her journey continues,
full of endless possibility.
Jeremy Dutcher is a classically
trained Canadian Indigenous
tenor, composer, musicologist,
performer, activist and member
of Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation)
in Eastern Canada. Dedicated to
language revitalization, Dutcher’s
debut album, Wolastoqiyik
Lintuwakonawa, unearthed century-old archival recordings
of his ancestors, turning them into collaborative compositions
on the piano. Sung entirely in Wolastoqey, his endangered
mother tongue, it would go on to win the 2018 Polaris
Music Prize and lead to collaborations with such iconic
artists as Yo-Yo Ma and Leslie Feist. His sophomore album,
Motewolonuwok ᒣᑌᐧᐁᓓᓄᐧᐁᒃ , was awarded the 2024
Polaris Music Prize, making Dutcher the first two-time
winner. His music transcends boundaries: unapologetically
playful in its incorporation of classical and jazz influences,
full of reverence for the traditional songs of his home, and
teeming with the urgency of modern-day resistance.Danielle de Niese is not just
“Opera’s Coolest Soprano”, as
dubbed by The New York Times
Magazine, she’s a boundary-
pushing performer blending
classical stagecraft, musical theatre
and TV stardom. A magnetic
presence on the world’s biggest
stages, from the Metropolitan Opera to Covent Garden, de
Niese’s versatility has set her apart: she made her Broadway
debut at 18, won an Emmy at 16 and has performed with
artists that include LL Cool J and Mika.
Born in Australia to Sri Lankan and Dutch parents and
raised in Los Angeles, de Niese’s “gleaming soprano”
and “phenomenal musicality” have earned her accolades,
including New Artist of the Year at the ECHO Awards and
a Classical Brit nomination. In 2024, she played Hanna
Glawari in The Merry Widow at Glyndebourne, receiving
rave reviews.
De Niese is also a passionate advocate for music
education and children’s causes. As an Ambassador for
HRH King Charles’s Foundation for Children in the Arts
and a patron of Future Talent, she is dedicated to helping
young artists thrive. As a longstanding Artist Member of
the Mannes Board of Governors and Ambassador for the
International Rescue Committee, she continues to inspire
and empower future generations of performers.
