Ashland Police and Fire 2:53 a.m. Friday - Investigation of structure fire, 100 block Lincoln Street. Fire started in recliner chair next to front door of apartment, causing mostly exterior damage. 12:18 a.m. Friday - During investigation of an unsubstantiated disturbance call, 1000 block Beswick Way, an Ashland male, 33, was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Lane County. Subject lodged in Jackson County Jail. 8:36 p.m. Thursday - Ashland female, 41, cited and released for possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop on Interstate 5, milepost 19. 6:12 p.m. Thursday - Report of unauthorized cashing of check worth $323. Under investigation. 3:03 p.m. Thursday - Male transient, 47, arrested for parole violation, Ashland Plaza. Subject lodged in Jackson County Jail. 3:03 p.m. Thursday - Police officer contacted male juvenile sitting with several adult male transients. Juvenile found to be a runaway out of Cottage Grove and released to his father. 2:12 p.m. Thursday - Driver of pickup was observed driving recklessly along Interstate 5 between Medford and Ashland. When the driver, a Milwaukie, Ore. male, 34, pulled over at an Ashland restaurant, he was arrested for reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, failure to present a license, providing false information to the police, and three outstanding warrants. 10:36 a.m. Thursday - Ski pole stolen, 700 block Oak Street. Pole valued at $20. 10:09 a.m. Thursday - Yellow rubber pants found hanging from tree on front lawn of Lithia Park. 8 p.m. Wednesday - Three outdoor solar lamps reported stolen, 100 block Lincoln Street. Lamps valued at $19 each.
