Ashland Police and Fire 12:14 a.m. Monday - Male transient, 25, found to have a warrant for his arrest after jaywalking in front of a police car, East Main and Pioneer streets. Subject lodged in Jackson County Jail. 9:40 p.m. Sunday - Transient male, 50, arrested for disorderly conduct after fighting with another male, East Main and Pioneer streets. Subject lodged in Jackson County Jail. Between 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday - Unknown person or persons entered vehicle at 200 block Harrison and stole a bassoon, maroon with case valued at $10,000 and a Pentax 35 m.m. camera valued at $359. Under investigation. 5:57 p.m. Sunday - Illegal fireworks confiscated from five juveniles at Helman Elementary School. Parents notified. 5:06 p.m. Sunday - Unknown person or persons stole miscellaneous items valued at $210 from vehicle, 500 block Y.M.C.A. Way. 4:52 p.m. Sunday - Highly intoxicated male found to be unable to care for himself at business, Ashland Street and Tolman Creek Road. Subject transported to detox. Between midnight and 8 a.m. Sunday - Silver and blue mountain bike valued at $1500 stolen from residence, 70 block Fourth Street. 10:12 p.m. Saturday - Ashland Police investigated cause of small grass fire along the railroad tracks under the Clay Street overpass. Cause determined to be ground bloom flower fireworks dropped from overpass by unknown person or persons. 9:37 p.m. Saturday - Ashland female, 49, arrested for trespassing at residence, 300 block Clay Street. Upon subsequent investigation, subject was also found to have stolen prescription medications from an acquaintance and attempted to obtain methamphetamine by offering another's property in exchange. 4:52 p.m. Saturday - Man found passed out in alley behind business, 300 block East Main Street. Subject found to be too intoxicated to care for self ant transported to detox. 3:08 p.m. Saturday - Ashland male, 47, cited and released for establishing a campsite, Water Street under Lithia Way. 3:01 p.m. Saturday - Transient male, 20, and Ashland male, 38, cited and released for drinking beer in public, East Main and Pioneer streets. 1:23 a.m. Saturday - Ashland male, 20, cited for DUII, driving while suspended, reckless driving, failure to use a safety belt, and minor in possession of alcohol by consumption, Iowa and Lincoln streets. Subject lodged in Jackson County Jail. Female passenger, 19, cited for minor in possession by consumption and released. 2:08 p.m. Friday - Phoenix male, 45, arrested for DUII following a traffic stop, 700 block Oak Street.. 12:20 p.m. Friday - Citizen report alerted police to a male offering marijuana for sale at front door of business, 500 block Siskiyou Boulevard. Subject cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and paraphernalia. Noon Friday - Ashland male, 19, found passed out on a bench behind Shakespeare outdoor theater. Subject cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and released to his mother. Between 9 and 11:15 a.m. Friday - Purse stolen from baby carriage during parade, 100 block East Main Street. Purse and contents valued at $300. 11 a.m. Friday - Male subject cited for reckless endangering after dropping water balloon from third floor of building onto head of Ashland policeman on a motorcycle, East Main and Third streets. Ashland Fire Department 2:57 a.m. Monday - Structure fire in bed and breakfast under reconstruction, 100 block North Main Street. One wall damaged. Cause unknown, under investigation. Damage approximated at $10,000 to $15,000. Talent Police Department 8:23 p.m. Friday - Tailgate stolen from gray Nissan pickup, 100 block West Valley View Road.
