--> --> Bessie Jones A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church in Ashland for Bessie Jones, 95, of Ashland. Jones died Saturday, Jan. 19 at Linda Vista Care Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran School, 1760 E. Main St., Ashland. Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 20, 1906 in Rogers, Ark. to Melville and Hattie Harman. She married George E. Jones on Jan. 2, 1923 in Tilden, Ill. Mrs. Jones loved her children and grandchildren and was very supportive of Grace Lutheran School in Ashland. She was also very active in the Nazarene Church during most of her life. Survivors include a son, George Richard Jones, of Jensen Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Harriet Wray, of Ashland; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and one daughter. Email your...
