ENERGY City to host solar workshop Comment By Local report DailyTidings.com By Local report Posted Jan. 15, 2016 at 7:12 PM By Local report Posted Jan. 15, 2016 at 7:12 PM » Social News A solar workshop for anyone who's considering going solar but doesn't know where to start will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way. The workshop, which will be hosted by Ashland's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Program, will provide an overview of the city's current solar incentive program, how it works, how it contributes to the affordability of a solar system and how those who chose to take part can maximize their local energy generation over time. Local solar contractors will be on hand and available to answer questions about the installation process, new technologies and equipment available and how those interested can take the next step. For answers to questions about the workshop, contact the city's solar program coordinator, Larry Giardina, at 541-552-2065 or larry.giardina @ashland.or.us.
