California is hoping to become part of the United States. Alejandro is Zorro, hidden behind a mask. Elena (Catherine Zeta-Jones), is the only one who knows about Alejandro's secret, having fought for independence and justice beside him. Even their son, 10-year-old Joaquin, does not know the secret. Elena thinks that Alejandro needs to spend more time with her and his son, not as much time with his duty. Alejandro, on the other hand, disagrees and thinks the exact opposite. Zorro, he says is priority. And with a huge fight, Zorro leaps into the dark night. The next day in town, Elena is ambushed by two mysterious men who threaten her life, and blackmail her into going undercover for the United States government. That very day, Alejandro receives a letter containing papers for divorce.Then the story skips three months. Alejandro is now a drunken, unhealthy man. Soon though, he finds that Elena has fallen in love with a count, or so he thinks. The count she is with seems a bit suspicous and Zorro investigates. Suddenly he finds out some dark secrets, including that his ex-wife is engaged. But he discovers that Elena is only engaged to find out the dastardly plans of this man. In the end, Zorro and his family fight for their lives, and the freedom of California so it can become the 31st state. I thought that this movie was very exciting, though I was suprised at the PG rating. The movie I think is overly violent for a PG rating. There is no gore but action violence. I think the meaning of this movie is to be true to yourself and others and that nothing is impossible. This movie is rated PG for sequences of violence/peril and action, language and a couple of suggestive moments.Ashland Middle School student and Daily Tidings film reviewer Ursula Petersen is in the seventh grade. Travellers and Magicians In Dzongkha with English subtitles An impatient young man from the city stops in a small village, where he misses his bus. As he waits for a ride with others, a monk relates a tale of a student of magic who does not believe in magic, but wants to make money. The two stories entertwine with heart, hope and humor. Chicken Little After Chicken Little mistakes a falling acorn for a piece of the sky and panics, he’s determined to restore his good name. But then a real piece of the sky lands on his head! Voice talents of Zach Braff, Joan Cusack, Garry Marshall, Wallace Shawn, Don Knotts, Patrick Stewart, Patrick Warburton. G/81 min. Jarhead Boot camp and active duty in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait offers a series of dramatic and traumatic experiences for a Marine in Operation Desert Storm.
