James McDaniel will play Ezra Mills in at least one episode when the Fox drama returns next year. Ezra has been estranged from his daughters ever since their childhood, when he abandoned them with their mother who was soon after institutionalized. Now Ezra has returned and wants to become a part of his daughters' lives. McDaniel's previous television credits include NYPD Blue , The Good Wife , Orange Is the New Black and Chicago P.D . Sleepy Hollow 's midseason finale airs Thursday at 8/7c on Fox.
