From what our news reports have shown, the project was very close to being completed by Dec. 16. It may yet still happen. But all indication is the work is going to be shut down until April. Who would have thought last July that the Festival of Light parade, not just the July 4th parade, would be set against a backdrop of torn up roads and sidewalks. Blame won't solve anything. It's likely too cold to change it. But for every one of us negotiating those godforsaken orange cones, dodging construction while biking or walking, or simply enduring long delays on short commutes, it might help it go a bit better just to be able to complain a bit. For what it's worth, we urge the city and the construction company to get this done sooner rather than later. In the meantime, we'll keep on whining.   DailyTidings.com Home Page Valley&State | Backpage | O&E | Sports | Archives | Weather | Classifieds Columnists | Faith&Beliefs | Obituaries | Revels | Subscribe | Contact Us Copyright 2003 Ashland Daily Tidings and Ottaway Newspapers All Rights Reserved Site Search: .:Advertisements:.
