--> --> Talent takes bid from Ledford for streets project Ashland Daily Tidings TALENT - The City Council has awarded Ledford Construction of Medford a contract for adding bicycle lanes, curbs, gutters and sidewalks along Main and New streets. Ledford Construction was the low bidder for the projects, bidding $69,347 for the work on New Street, and $172,280 for work along Main Street, for a total of $241,627, according to city officials. The Main Street work will run three blocks from Wagner Creek Road to the railroad tracks on the 200 block of the roadway. The entirety of New Street is slated to see the same improvements. No start date for the construction has been set, but because of timeline restrictions on the grant funds used to pay for the project, the construction must be completed by September, officials said.
