Ashland Kiwanis Club donates to AHS emergency fund By Daily Tidings staff report DailyTidings.com By Daily Tidings staff report Posted Aug. 27, 2014 @ 3:40 pm By Daily Tidings staff report Posted Aug. 27, 2014 @ 3:40 pm » Social News Ashland Kiwanis donates to AHS emergency fund The Ashland Kiwanis Club recently donated $500 to Ashland High School’s emergency fund. This fund allows the school to serve students in need in a variety of ways. Last year the school was able to provide food during the holiday season, buy in-school study supplies, pay for yearbooks and provide for many other special needs due to the fund. These funds also provided school-based health insurance so students could access shop and metal classes. Having the ability to assist these students in need allowed them to access their education and feel supported by the school and the community, a Kiwanis club member noted.  To learn more about Ashland Kiwanis, visit ashlandkiwanis.org or call 541-488-0532.
