Haptonstall The graveside service for Lorraine Theresa Haptonstall will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2004 at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland. Friends may pay their respects at the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Mrs. Haptonstall was born August 28, 1928 at Newport, RI. She married Melvin Haptonstall in 1947 at Yuma City, CA and moved to Ashland in 1950. She was a foster parent and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Surviving in addition to her husband are: two sons, Steve Haptonstall of Talent and Michael Haptonstall of Portland; one daughter, Mary Champion of Ashland; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and one son, Jackie. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2300 Oakmont; Suite 208 B, Eugene, Oregon 97219.
