Phoenix discusses firefighter ed funding Ashland Daily Tidings PHOENIX - The City Council is scheduled to discuss reimbursing student firefighters for their education and training. Other items on the agenda Monday include an update on the city fire chief's attempt to attain fire department funding through grants, an update of the construction of the Talent-Ashland-Phoenix joint project to connect to the City of Medford's water system, and the evaluation of a request for the reduction of the rental fee of the Community Hall.
