Penn won two events and placed second in a third for the AHS boys, who fell to Crater 82-63. Norvell and Baldrica won two events apiece for the AHS girls, who lost 76-51. Penn set a personal record of 159-feet to place first in the javelin, leaped 20-3 1/2 to win the long jump and was runner-up to teammate Michael Pruitt in the 100-meter dash — Pruitt won in 11.58 seconds, a season best, and Penn crossed the finish line in 11.66. Penn's long jump was his fourth of the season to clear 20 feet or more. The Grizz boys also received first-place performances out of Ray Impara (3,000, personal record 9:52.24), Dominic Meads (Discus, 145-4), Jeremiah Sherrynewby (pole vault, personal record 11-6) and James Hutchings (triple jump, 38-9 1/2). Norvell easily won the pole vault by clearing 10-6, a personal record, and bested the field in the triple jump with a 31-9 mark.  Baldrica won the 400 in 1:01.93, a personal record, and the long jump with a 15-7 leap. Also victorious for the Ashland girls were Christine Impara (800, 2:36.41), McKenzie Moore (3,000, 12:34.34), Lilianne Smith (discus, personal record 92-4) and Kelsey McKelvey (javelin, 119-4). Girls Tennis At Klamath Falls, Ashland won three of four singles matches en route to a 5-2 nonleague win over Klamath Union on Wednesday. Gabriela Safay pulled out an 8-4 win over Sarah Carter at No. 3 singles to help tip the scales in Ashland's favor. SINGLES — Ashley Knecht, A, d. Lily Inthisan, 6-4, 6-0; Grace Cox, KU, d.
