The deadline for both actions is Tuesday. Only voters registered with the Democratic or Republican parties may vote in those respective primaries. Unaffiliated voters and voters registered with minor parties may only vote on nonpartisan contests. Members of any party can change their affiliation at any time before the April 29, 5 p.m. deadline. Tuesday also serves as the deadline for those who have not registered to vote.
