--> --> William Harry Sholem William Harry Sholem, 66, of Ashland died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001 at home. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 at Temple Emek Shalom in Ashland. Rabbi Marc Sirinsky will officiate. Private interment will be held at the Jacksonville Cemetery in Jacksonville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Providence, 1660 E. McAndrews Rd., Medford, Ore. 97504 or to Temple Emek Shalom, 1081 E. Main St., Ashland, Ore. 97520. Mr. Sholem was born March 10, 1935 in Urbana, Ill., to Jerome and Faye (Siegal) Shalom. On Nov. 18, 1967 in Grosse Pointe, Mich., he married Constance (Connie) Wendin. Bill and Connie moved to Ashland in April of 2000 after living overseas for 27 years. Mr. Sholem graduated with a B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Illinois and a MBA from San Francisco State College. He was a banker working in international banking for over 30 years, living in California, London, England, and Venezuela. Survivors include his wife Connie Sholem of Ashland; his son Michael Sholem of London, England; daughters Betsy Babcock and Susan Neis, both of Littleton, Colo., and Joanna Sholem of Flagstaff, Ariz.; brothers Myron and Stanford Sholem, both of Champaign, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Kylat Neis, Sarah Neis, and Lindsey Babcock. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cory Babcock. Arrangements were conducted by Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory in Ashland. Email your...
