The driver, a Jacksonville man, 50, was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Metham-phetamine pipes, needles and marijuana were found in the vehicle. A male passenger, 37, of Ashland, was combative with officers and resisted arrest. The man was found in possession of a methamphetamine pipe, and a knife blade in his pocket. Both men were lodged into the Jackson County Jail in Medford. 12:45 a.m. Tuesday - A truck was pulled over for a vehicle violation on Helman Street at North Main Street. The driver, a Medford man, 23, admitted to drug use, but showed minimal impairment. The man told the officer he had a gun in the truck. The gun was discovered to have been stolen from Redding, Calif.
