Both teams play two more pool play games Saturday and Sunday, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to a four-team playoff. Miller’s walk drove in Alec Parker, who singled to right to lead off the inning. Ashland sent the game into extra innings — each game goes a regulation six innings — when Jamie Flynn cranked a run-scoring single with one out in the sixth. Ashland loaded the bases with nobody out in the seventh, but Medford Blue pitcher Joe McLaughlin wiggled out of the jam with a clutch strikeout. William Crowley went 2-for-3 with one RBI to lead Ashland, while James Skinner went 2-for-4. Ryan Bottimore was 2-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base. McLoughlin paced Medford with two singles and two RBIs. Ashland faces Medford American Red on Saturday and South Suburban Blue on Sunday to wrap up pool play.
