Ashland Police and Fire 2:18 a.m. Thursday - Trash can fire, possibly started by bottle of furniture cleaner found nearby. No damage to trash can. 2:04 a.m. Thursday - Talent male, 20, stopped for operating bicycle on roadway without proper lighting. Subject found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, arrested for possession of methamphetamine and lodged in Jackson County Jail. 1:35 a.m. Thursday - Dumpster fire, 1600 block Ashland Street. Source and intent unknown. No visible damage to dumpster. 1:29 p.m. Wednesday - Wallet with identification found at the corner of Siskiyou Boulevard and Park Street. Tagged and stored. Value: $25. 11:47 a.m. Wednesday - Ashland male, 51, cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. When a loaded pipe, two bongs, and a marijuana butt were found in his residence, subject was lodged in Jackson County Jail on violation of probation. 4:35 a.m. Wednesday - Baggy of methamphetamine found at business, 2300 block Ashland Street. Turned in to APD to be destroyed. 1:29 a.m. Wednesday - Money stolen from unlocked vending machine of SOU Dormitory, Indiana Street.
