GUEST OPINION Guest Opinion: The values of a true revolutionary Comment By Emmanuel Senter DailyTidings.com By Emmanuel Senter Posted Jan. 25, 2016 at 12:01 AM By Emmanuel Senter Posted Jan. 25, 2016 at 12:01 AM » Social News 1. Be aware. Every single person has a cave, or a veil of ignorance. Some have unveiled an honest perspective, revealing the fundamental, whereas some choose to remain ignorant. It is crucial to remember that he who is apathetic to oppression is an oppressor. He who turns a blind eye to delinquency is a criminal. Do not allow the hierarchy to fool you, and do not allow yourself to become apathetic to a grand oppression. 2. Realize, accept, and adapt. Realize the subject under scrutiny through the contemplation of its every quality and perspective. Without surrendering, accept it for what it is. (No change is accomplished through blatant defiance). Adapt to it. This adaptiveness excludes destructive behavior. Act, without reacting. 3. Realize your patriotic responsibility. Being a citizen of a country you must always remember the fragility of a flawed society. When healing the animal, your first step should be the farthest from euthanasia. While employing personal dissidence in a form of independence, remember your inter-dependence on your neighbors and theirs upon you. While a rule may be corrupt, its people may not be. Do not be the euthanasia to a powerful state, be the antibiotic. Heal the injuries while remaining a civil patriot. 4. Use moderation in all aspects of life. A true revolutionary uses patience and self-restraint to their advantage. Nothing is accomplished through rash decisions. Be open-minded. Use critical thinking. Meditate on your decisions, explore options, and foresee results. The solution will never be linear or even predictable. Therefore it is key to use strong contemplation when seeking truth/s. 5. Understand sacrifice. To attain the barely attainable, you must accept the probability of self-abolition. While the termination of one's personal relations and goals may not be necessary in the struggle for revolution, one must always be ready to surrender one's assets for change. 6. When assuming the position of leadership, you must not be motivated by an agenda-of-self, but by being of service to your people. There is no greater purpose than to serve and assist others. The president-of-state that serves for self-benefit absent the greater good for their citizens is a tyrant. He who acts beyond personal morals for the greater purpose of the allegiants is a true leader. 7. Realize the many methods of the offensive. The offensive should not be employed until the defensive has been thoroughly depleted in all its methods. However, one must keep in mind that an offensive move can be psychological, mental, diplomatic and civil. An offensive move does not need to be damaging to one's opponent. 8. The consequences of violence should never be underestimated. Before employing violence and/or warfare, one must have already exhausted all diplomatic solutions. Beyond this, the benefits must outweigh the consequences when deciding to utilize violence. The true revolutionary is aware. He acts without reacting. He lives for his country and its people. He employs patience. He analyzes with the utmost potency. He meditates on his decisions. He leads beyond personal values, and instead for his people. He realizes the necessity to employ nonviolence whenever possible. He uses violence only as last resort and with careful consideration. This is the manifesto of a true revolutionary.
