BUSINESS Butler Ford's new home begins to take shape Comment DailyTidings.com Writer Posted Feb. 5, 2016 at 12:01 AM Posted Feb. 5, 2016 at 12:01 AM » Social News Local report Construction on a new Butler Ford showroom, offices and service department is well under way and expected to be completed this spring on the site of the earlier, 39-year-old building, where the business has operated since 1977. Owners Chuck and Linda Butler came to Ashland and started Butler Ford downtown in 1976, soon moving to the site on Highway 99 near Valley View, says Bailey Arango, social media and marketing assistant. The old building was razed last fall. Butler Ford's staff has been working in the Butler Acura building next door during construction, he says. The new building looks like a two-story structure but it’s only one, with a tall ceiling for the showroom, he adds. “It’s exciting to start this project,” said Chuck Butler. “Building a new Ford facility is the perfect way to celebrate our 40th anniversary in Ashland next spring.” Linda Butler says, “Our customers, as well as our employees, are like family to us. Moving on from a building with so much history can be difficult, but it’s worth it to provide a better environment for the people who make this company, and this community, so special.” Adroit Construction is the contractor on the 14,300-square-foot structure. Butler Automotive Group also has Kia and Hyundai dealerships in Medford. The company's website is www.butlerman.com .
