Police reports, Aug. 11-14 Monday Aug 14, 2017 at 8:17 PM Aug 14, 2017 at 8:17 PM Local report Friday, 2:34 p.m. — Police cited a man for smoking in a prohibited area at the intersection of East Main and North Pioneer streets.  Friday, 5:12 p.m. — Police cited a man for public use of marijuana at the intersection of Will Dodge Way and North First Street. Friday, 6:11 p.m. — Police cited a man for scattering rubbish and not having required dog control in the first block of Winburn Way. Friday, 6:59 p.m. — Police investigated the sudden death of a male adult in the 300 block of Clay Street.  Saturday, 9:18 a.m. — Police took a report of a missing person in the Ashland area.  Saturday, 5 p.m. — Police transported a woman from the 200 block of Maple Street to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center for a mental health evaluation.  Saturday, 5:11 p.m. — Police investigated an assault in the 1000 block of 'C' Street. Saturday, 6:15 p.m. — Police cited a man in the 1600 block of Ashland Street for improper use of 911. Sunday, 12:52 a.m. — Police arrested a man in the 2200 block of Ashland Street and lodged him in the Jackson County Jail on a parole and probation detention warrant, and for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Sunday, 2:48 a.m. — Police arrested a woman in the 500 block of A Street for driving "highly intoxicated." Sunday, 4:54 a.m. — Police arrested a man in the 200 block of Maple Street on a statewide felony warrant. Sunday, 12 p.m. — Police investigated a theft from a motor vehicle in the 900 block of East Main Street. Sunday, 12:36 p.m. — A subject stop in the 100 block of Winburn Way led to a warrant arrest. Sunday, 4:27 p.m. — Police cited a man in the 200 block of Water Street for violating open container laws.
