--> --> Off-duty Portland police officers assaulted PORTLAND (AP) - An off-duty officer was stabbed and another knocked unconscious outside a downtown club last weekend, and police are investigating several gang associates. Someone identified Officer Chad E. Gradwahl and threatened him as he stood outside, Detective Sgt. Bob Foster said. Gradwahl was surrounded by five to seven men and knocked to the ground, unconscious. Officer David K. Michaelson, who came to Gradwahl's aid, was stabbed with a knife in the lower back near his rib cage and was struck in the face with a beer can. Email your...
