Open Wednesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (and at 8 a.m. Saturdays, when the farmers market is across the street.   This might be the smallest shop in Ashland. What is it? It’s coffee, using Noble beans and all the drinks they used to offer when they owned this coffee window. It’s also pastries, cookies, muffins, turnovers from my 4 + 20 Blackbirds bakery, which I’ve had for 14 years on Ashland Street, next to Wiley’s. This is the first time I’ve had a downtown place to market my pastries and that’s great. They’ve just been at the Co-op and Shop'n Kart till now. (The menu board also lists popcorn, lemonade, trail mix and tahini chews.)   This is a very central and active little spot for a business. What’s it like here? It’s nice being on the walkway up to Shakespeare with lots of tourists and locals going by at all hours. There’s never a dull moment. We even had a streaker run by during that big rainstorm.   You’ve got location, location, location, but you’re open to the elements. What’s going to happen in winter?  I’m not sure. We’ll see how long we can stay open and how busy it is. And how cold it is. We bought it from Noble Coffee in April and haven’t done a winter here yet.   What do you offer for locals? They get a 10 percent discount, the people who work at Shakespeare and the shops around downtown. Punchcards are too hard to work with. We just give it to them.
