About 70 of the planned 75-acre burn was completed, including city forest lands in the watershed near Reeder Reservoir. Some trails in the area will remain closed today as crews mop up. The burn is intended to mimic the natural cycle of fire in the ecosystem and reduce the threat of a severe fire that could theaten lives, property and the water supply.
