This most gentle, humble and generous man gave to and loved freely all he encountered. Those of you fortunate enough to have known and spent time with Al appreciate how truly wonderful he was His humor brought laughter to people around the world, from Russia to Europe to New Zealand, and he delighted children as far away as the Cook Islands, and those right here at home in the Rogue Valley, as he traveled and performed with the two a cappella comedy quartets he founded, Delusions of Grandeur and Tone Deaf. The parodies he wrote and his wicked, dead pan humor regularly brought “complaints” that he made peoples’ faces hurt from laughing harder than they had in years. Al’s compassion and wisdom brought peace and strength to all who knew him, whether as a friend, client or family member. He was passionate about his work as a counselor and practiced here in Ashland for 30 years, touching and changing many lives. We feel blessed to have called this man Husband and Sweeties, Dad and Poppy. Every tear we shed is a reminder of how incredibly lucky we are to have had him in our lives. We love you, Alan Leslie Robins. Jan, wife; Seth, son; Megan, daughter; Jeff, son, Noelle and Paisley, granddaughters. Afterglow for Al Robins Saturday, May 23, 2015 Everyone who knew Al had a special relationship and special experiences with him.
