The Delta Center is a 29-acre planned unit development proposed for the northwest corner of the intersection. The Medford City Council ended a legal fight with the developer by agreeing during Thursday’s noon council meeting to let the project proceed. The proposal calls for 25 buildings, including a 30,610-square-foot Best Buy, a 45,200-square-foot Sportsman’s Warehouse and professional offices. The city accepted the proposal with some conditions, requiring the developer to provide $400,000 for right-of-way purchases for an extension of Excel Drive and for a three-way traffic signal at Lear Way and Delta Waters Road. --> Copyright © 2006 Ashland Daily Tidings and Ottaway Newspapers.
