--> --> March 11: Dunn leads SOU men at Sacramento Ashland Daily Tidings SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Nick Dunn led the Southern Oregon men to four dual meet victories and Tiwana Merritt led the women to three Saturday at the Bruce Drummond Invitational at Sacramento State University. The SOU men went 4-2 in the seven-team men's meet, and the Raider women finished 3-2 in the six-team women's meet. Dunn took first in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles in 53.82, just ahead of David Wheat (53.90) of Riverside. Merritt won the 400 in 57.34 and was also third in the 200 in 25.63. SOU Tennis Lewiston, Idaho - The Southern Oregon women's tennis team routed Albertson, then were nipped by Alberta in the final set of a four-match road trip Saturday at Clarkston High School. The Raiders (6-2) had little trouble beating Albertson 7-2, but dropped all three doubles matches by two games or less in a 5-4 loss to Alberta in the nightcap. SOU No. 3 singles player Julie Nelson went 2-0 on the day, winning her first match easily before edging Laura Rabinovitch of Alberta 7-6 (1), 6-2. Email your...
