--> --> Debaters take third at tourney Ashland Daily Tidings Ashland High School debaters Andrew Westmoreland and Orion Hall have brought home the third place trophy from a policy debate on Dec. 1 at the University of Texas in Austin. By being one of the top eight teams in the tournament, Westmoreland and Hall earned one of two bids needed to advance to the Tournament of Champions in May at the University of Kentucky. The two hope to achieve the second bid in February during tournaments in California. If successful, Hall and Westmoreland would be the first Ashland team to advance to the Tournament of Champions, according to Ashland High School Speech and Debate Coach John Tredway. Email your...
