The Ashland McDonald's closed about a month ago and the Bad Film Society is saying a tongue-in-cheek goodbye with a slow food potluck dinner followed by fast food cinema. Those attending are asked to bring their most gut-wrenching old videos to give away as door prizes, as well as bringing a wrapped very bad gift for the holiday Grotesque Gift Grab. Scheduled films include original McDonald's commercials from the 70s and the opening sequence to the 70s children's show H.R. Pufnstuf, which was used in federal court claiming that McDonalds stole its characters from Sid and Marty Krofft. There will be the song and dance number with Ronald MacDonald from the "ET"-like film "Mac & Me." And finally the 1985 feature "The Stuff" about a delicious and very addictive fast food treat that makes people's heads explode. Also up is the eleventh chapter of the 1936 serial, "Undersea Kingdom" starring Crash Corrigan and Lon Chaney, Jr. featuring robots, spiked tanks and ray guns in the Lost City of Atlantis.
